About Me

Andrea was born on October 12 1973 in Southern Italy, in a little city called Catanzaro. Musical influences commenced at home while listening to his older brother playing his extensive collection of progressive music records. In the other room Andrea’s father was listening to his favourite collection of Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong records. These music influences brought Andrea to the next step of his musical career to get his mother to buy his first acoustic guitar. It was love at first sight! The guitar, later almost exclusively electric, becomes the central part of his life. Guitar and Andrea are inseparable. In a brief time, Andrea has created his own personal style dated back to the greats slowhands of the six strings. During this period Andrea becomes concrete to the spiritual realization that blues life is for him. Past blues greats become an integral part of Andrea’s new music life. After playing in various blues bands he successfully records his debut album called "Dream" in 1998 for an independent label. "Dream" received acclaimed radio reviews with an accompanied tour in Italy."In Blue", Andrea’s second studio recording, was born in 2001. Positive media reviews defined the album as a good example of urban blues contaminated by funky and reggae. The CD presents seven original tunes and a few covers from the blues American tradition such as a version of Robert Johnson’s song Kindhearted Woman Blues.Currently, Andrea is completing his first acoustic CD, solely using his own voice and his vintage guitar. Probable title will be "Singin' and Playin' the Blues" which will include traditional blues and original ballads. While on the road Andrea has played with many accomplished musicians and with many international bluesmen as Lousiana Red, Herbie Goins, Sweet Betty, Jimmy Morello, Guitar Ray, Bob Corritore, Little Victor, The Hoodoomen, Tony Stelmaszack and many more…Andrea’s touring calendar comprises of intimate Blues Clubs in Italy and aboard to recent 10.000 plus people Pistoia Blues Festival 2006. Andrea and his band were the opening act to rock legends Robert Plant and Gov’t Mule. This Pistoia event also hosted Bob Dylan and Ben Harper.Stay tuned…the best is yet to come. We have projects in progress and the CD to deliver!Coming soon:
