About Me

As a child, Hugo Allen was exposed to Rock and Motown, and after teaching himself how to play the guitar and piano, music courses in college evoked his love for avant-gardism.
Subsequently, Orbital's "Halcyon & On & On" captivated him to pursue electronic music.
Originally as a greenhorn film composer, Hugo Allen applies his orchestrational techniques to achieve his own unique form of electronic music.
His first electronic musical debut was in 2004, when two of his original mixes, 'Dusk' and 'Vinyl Flux Mix,' shot up the Indie Electronica Top-Twenty charts at MP3.com.
Satellite Duo EP, released in 2005 along with the 2006 first full-lengthed, Solution of the System has gained international recognition within the electronica community throughout parts of Europe and Asia.
In the summer of 2006, Hugo Allen teamed up with Robert Christopher, a charismatic DJ, and as of 2007, they are slowly gaining recognition throughout the club circuit nationwide for their 'Hot' remixes of Cassie's "Me & U" and Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right," which DJ Jaime Sanchez charted at 2 in January 2007 with radio airplay.

As of summer 2008, Hugo Allen is currently working on both his solo release and new materials for his duo HARC. Robert Christopher steps on board as co-producer.
