About Me

Background: I was born in a tiny village south of Sweden and I still live there with my family at today’s date. At the age of 9 the music teacher at my school (Arne Petterson, I wish you all the best luck) introduced me to the drums. He was surprised as I manage to play some basic beats without any problems except me being far to little compare to the big drum set in front of me. He then pushed me forward to start playing the drums. At first I thought it to be a cool thing you know, playing the drums, being the engine in a band but as soon as I attended to the local music school I was forever lost in the arts of drumming. My brother already had a drum set at home so I could practise whenever I wanted. I started in an orchestra and later in high school in a few bands, mostly rock/pop hard rock/metal. New drum teachers came and went. Two of these (Jakob Herrmann, still a true source of inspiration and Matthias Gummeson) introduced me to new thinking concepts like odd time signature, different sticking technique like double strokes, paradiddles, jazz style and so on. My technique as much as my musicality raised to a whole new level. After High School I got interested in studio technique and therefore intended the studio program at V..xj.. University and that’s where I’m at right now. After this program I intend to enter MI in Los Angeles and continue to expand my drumming and studio technique and hopefully ending up as a well know studio drummer who everybody wants, and of course like, to work with.My goal: My goal is to make good music witch people love to listen on. I want to express myself by music and create song witch people want to hear. I want them to get “feelings” when they hear the music. I also want music to be my full time job. When I started to play I always used to dream about being this great drummer witch everybody wants to play and be with. And all the girls of course…
