As far back as she can remember Sara Fischer has always had ears inquisitive for music.
She comes from a family from which her father was an amateur New Orleans style trumpeter,
and at an early age she was exposed to the sounds of traditional jazz and the voices
of Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong emanating from the recordplayer.
From the age of 10 she attended the renowned Adolf Fredrik Music School in Stockholm where she began singing and playing the piano.
After these formative years she spent one year at a highschool in New York where she received much musical inspiration from her surroundings.
On returning to Sweden she continued her musical studies at the Sodra Latin Highschool where she began investigate jazzsinging seriously.
At the age of 25 she resumed her studies, this time at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm which she attended until the summer of 2001.
Since then Sara has been working as a music and songteacher as well. She now gives unique and private songlessons in the city of Stockholm.
Sara Fischer has gained much experience during her proffestional life singing and recording with a wide variety of groups and artists including
Lars Sjosten, Patrik Boman, Gunnar Bergsten, Bosse Soderberg, Goran Lindberg, Ronnie Gardiner, Daniel Tilling, Charles Darden, Mats Larsson
and Jonathan Axelsson. Importent influenses who she names are Chet Baker, Billie Holiday, Elis Regina, Rickie Lee Jones, PJ Harvey, Cesaria Evora.
She has made a great number of conserts all over Sweden, and also in France and USA.
Sara has also appeared in television shows along with Oscar Danielsson.
