Yawo Jandawa Watts is a proud father of two and a legendary Leimert Park poet. The name Yawo, which originates from the African country of Ghana, means “Boy born on Thursday.â€Yawo was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Watts, California and Gloster, Mississippi.Yawo is a community activist often working with at risk youth in after-school programs and juvenile hall. He currently host a monthly erotic poetry showcase in Los Angeles, The Oralgasm, and is recording for his upcoming album, “SENSIBLE.†Also self published Book of Poems “INNERVERSE.â€He’s a masterful spoken word artist, a true technician of rhymes and rhythm.
