Hello and thank you for sharing your time with me today. My name is Shaun Derik, the Speaker for the Dreamer.
Remember when we were children? How great it felt to make believe? How, when we focused on our story, everything around us seemed to disappear? Older now, we forget what that feels like. Creating our world around us, I mean. We push and charge until we are finally promoted to the middle of someone else’s vision. I did it, too… lost sight of what was important to me… the gifts and talents I was to utilize before I left this world. I pushed for riches because that seemed more attainable than my own dream. It seemed like something we were supposed to want. I failed at my attempt because money wasn’t my passion. Then I was reminded of a word my brother gave to me at my father’s funeral. He said “Look around. Father was the richest man because he invested in people.†That’s when I decided to live my life as big as I could; consciously affecting everyone around me. I began challenging people to their fullest potential having not even scratched the surface of my own. I imagined a world where everyone was running along side me as I struggled to make real my own visions. I wasn’t afraid to make-believe that my dreams were not just going to happen, but that they were happening. I now spend my time as a Writer, Business Development Officer, and Public Speaker, teaching the power of imagination. My message is simple: A passion will propel you. But a vision will sustain you...
