Mr. Brako aka Ghana's Rude Boi

About Me

Me ah rude boi and its no wonder!Jazio Blaq aka Knotty is a self-proclaimed and rising artist taking the dance-floor and local radio stations hostage with his unique and versatile style. The hard working artist moved to the United States from Ghana when he was 3 years old and grew up on the soils of Louisiana and Alabama. At a young age, he began his artistic abilities drawing and winning several awards for his creativity. At the age of 11, he took interest in music production and would find himself locked up in his bedroom trying to mimic the sounds of hip hop artists. Before he knew his aspiration to be a producer, at the age of 13, he formed his first group with neighborhood friends, which he would write all their music and record it on a karaoke machine. In the coming years he would fade away from drawing, developing and molding his musical skill into fine production.
By the age of 17, he produced, wrote and recorded his first full-length album. His witty and gutter sound caught the ears of many of his peers.
In 2002, he joined Cyprus Recording Studios, and then left to Blackhouse University Records, both in Jacksonville Fla, where he learned the more technical side of music. Later he decided to make a move to Minnesota where his father taught at the university and where he would pursue his bachelors in Broadcasting. He recorded and produced another album at the studio before he left and upon arrival to Winona, MN, he took to the streets and sold enough cds to purchase a car and pay rent.
In 2003, after accumulating enough money for new music equipment, he produced his next album Ive Got Something To Say. The same year, he produced fellow friend and artist, Mysta J the Titan, thus helping him release his first album. 4 months later, Knotty won the 2003 Midwest Entertainment Award (Omaha, NE based M.E.M.A.) for best unsigned artist in the hip-hop genre.
At the start of 2004, Jazio slowed down in his music to continue his studies and hone his video making skills. It wasnt long until he yearned to be back in the studio. By the end of 2005, Jazio finished his once again self-produced album, Got That Heat including his smash dancehall single, Knotty Gyal. Jazio is currently working on music as well as video productions with new releases expected summer 2008
