NEW STUFF COMING VERY SOON!

About Me

For the past year and a half, Harper has encountered its obstacles, such as line up changes and distances apart due to university arrangements. After much time has passed where most individuals can remember the last brilliant gesture, Harper has found its missing pieces to the puzzle and pulled together once again to compose and perform an art that will catch many ears in its uprising. I am not here as a catalyst for the history of this band; I am here as an informant of a band I firmly believe is not your average artistic collaboration. While Harper may fit in to the mold, stylistically speaking, of an average "emo" band, let me firmly state: Harper is not the same radio friendly sound flooding the airwaves and the underground scene, conforming to your traditional i VI VII stereotypes. Harper is something else comprised of musically accomplished members, whether it be composers, those in pursuance of music degrees, or music teachers, Harper is not a band to be taken lightly. In their musical excursion to take the progressive/rock genre to a level beyond what others have yet to achieve, I introduce to you Ben Burbary, Alan Reitman, Joe Harrier, and John Seinar.
Being a relatively new band to Detroit, Michigan, Harper is opening a new path to many listeners on both the local and mainstream stage. What exactly is it that Harper has that catches so many ears? With a wide variety of vocal arrangements, enticing guitar leads, heart-thumping and intelligent bass lines, and face-melting drum beats, there isn't much Harper doesn't have to offer. Each lyrical segment has a strong sense of meaning, representing something many can relate to in a metaphorical sense, as well as a literal sense. With this being said, Harper promises a new ear and mind opening demo titled "The Art of Stairs" to stimulate your senses in Spring, 2008. Harper has played many shows with national touring acts, and is looking forward to performing in front of all those that want to hear from city to city.
