About Me

When we listen to National Public Radio report on these issues, we’re given one small piece of a complex story, but that piece is reported as the absolute truth—without contradictory evidence. The BBC and NPR are especially good at this trick. The earnest, dull patter you hear coming out of your radio during their broadcasts is suggestively hypnotic. There’s no back and forth, no argument presented. You hear the predictions of death, destruction, and mayhem from the authorities themselves with no dissenting voice, and you’re swayed into believing it’s true. Suddenly, you think you’re an expert in the field. You go marching through the land, regurgitating omens of terror: “Bird Flu, AIDS, SARS, Cancer! Isn’t there anything we can do? Won’t somebody save us?”You want to be saved? Here’s my suggestion: Do your own reading. Read the orthodoxy and the dissenters. And stop believing that what you read in the papers is the whole story.Liam Scheff
CHRISTINE MAGGIORE: “Questioning is healthy. Questioning is what leads to answers. Science, research, investigation of any kind begins with questions. And when we restrict where those questions can go, who can ask them and under what circumstances, we’re restricting progress and knowledge. And when we’re looking for answers to a problem that is unresolved, that has caused tremendous human suffering on many levels, lives being lost, lives being forever changed, you know, people commit suicide, have abortions, break up relationships, give up careers and all kinds of things based on the idea that HIV causes AIDS, we have the right to question this. Questioning is a good thing. And we should be joining hands. There shouldn’t be this my side/your side. We should be joining hands, the, you know, so-called mainstream AIDS organizations with the so-called alternative AIDS organizations like ours, in an effort to explain the anomalies, to fill in the gaping holes in our knowledge, and to embrace what we don’t understand in order to come to some answers and solutions that can truly be of help to people.”

I seriously question the hypothesis HIV = AIDS.

She replied in a flat, quiet voice, "I doubt that they do read the articles.... There is a mass belief out there that protects people from having to read, having to travel, having to think, having to know. They just know. They will tell you they just know that whatever it is you're on about is bullshit, whatever it is you're on about is crazy, dangerous, murderous. And the burden of proof is not on them to read the stuff before they say that to me."

Do you believe it is okay to threaten to shoot people to build roads or schools? Should we use violence to solve social problems?
It is man's sympathy with all creatures that first makes him truly a man.

End the madness! Highways are stupid. Suburbs and strip malls and office parks are stupid.
You don't have to try to please everybody. You can be bold. You will find your "audience," and they will find you.
Say, "You poop into my butt hole and I poop into your butt hole ... back and forth ... forever." - Robby (age 6)
"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is a proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. The principle is condemnation before investigation." - Herbert Spencer
