My Life: I am a 1st year PhD student at the Gevirtz School of Education at UCSB. I am passionate about the field of ed., improving CA's public ed. system, various topics in schooling and learning, and academic research in various fields. I am an avid runner, currently training for a 10k. I workout 4-6 days per week running-wise but am active daily- walking, hiking. I plan to get back into pottery, want to take salsa lessons, and hope to travel this summer.
My Personality: I am a genuine sweetheart- compassionate, curious, earnest, and true. I love companionship and like spending time with friends and family. I've got my "own kind of humor", rather, some things make me laugh that aren't always all that funny to others- a bit corky I suppose. I like to spend time with people who are funny and/or just find joy in the things they do and say. I can be a bit shy at first but once I've met with someone a couple of times- my friendships grow quite quickly.
My Match: I'd like to meet a genuine guy. Someone who is not just into looks or other surface features. While appearance is important, and I keep mine up- I want to find a guy who is into me- my spirit, my heart. I want a guy who can appreciate a good woman- treat me well/nicely, learn what I like and do it to make me happy- I guess I'm saying, a guy who believes in reciprocity. I am "the girlfriend type". Okay, so your life is a little out there. Overall, you have a good life, but it doesn't seem that way because your family's kooky and your friends are very sarcastic people. Your life's a comedy and you should consider making a reality tv show out of it, it'd sell.
