About Me

I'm a 30 something married guy from the tiny town of Athens, Tennessee. I grew up listening to my dad's classic rock and so developed a love for Pink Floyd (primarily Pink Floyd!), the Beatles, the Alan Parson's Project, Led Zeppelin, the Who, and others. As I grew into my own musical interests, I started listening to Queensryche, the Church, Marillion, XTC, Jars of Clay and the Legendary Pink Dots. All of these groups and many others have had an influence on me in some way. Now that I have started attempting to make my own music in a big way, I hope some small pieces of those influences come through. I hope that I can develop a sound that pays homage to that great music, but is still fresh and original. I have an EP out called "Reaching For Stars". It's available on iTunes, but you can find most of the songs either here on MySpace or at garageband.com (one of the coolest sites ever for music fans). At least give Reaching For Stars a listen. Feel free to give me some honest feedback. I need to know if this music will mean anything to anybody other than me. (Mind you, it wouldn't slow the momentum of my self-indulgence to know that it didn't. I'm having too much fun to stop now!)I'm a huge sci-fi and fantasy fan, go to DragonCon in Atlanta every year, love comics (mostly DC), and am generally just a big geek. To prove it, let me say...I use a Mac. There. I'm officially a geek. Thanks for dropping by.....Bryan
