About Me

The Gate has been running an open mic session for nearly 3 years now and has been a great success, not just for all the wonderful (and sometimes wierd) performances but for the great support it has. The sessions run on a Thursday night in the splenid cafe bar area, situated in the heart of the arts centre. This ambient space lends it self to a moody but vibrant atmosphere, popular with musicians, story-tellers, poets and perfomers. ..

Musicians, Poets, Story-tellers and Performers. If you like to perform at the gate open mic sessions please get in contact. We hope to have a great evening of entertainment, so come join in!!
Join us for an eclectic evening of performance as the top acts of our regular Open Mic Nights perform in our magnificent theatre.
