Arsnik was originally a band created by Keith Wilkins, Sam Brain and Matt Abraham's, but after a while searching for a vocalist to no avail Matt decided to part ways with the project. Keith and Sam carried on searching now also looking for a bassist as well, they asked Dan fitz if he was willing to join and he agreed. After another search around for a vocalist they came across James Dix, James is a good friend of the other members and was willing to try out, everyone was impressed with the final product. Progress was made quickly with one and a half songs created after the first practice. Arsnik will be writing a sturdy selection of songs in the next couple of months and hopefully start to gig in the near future. Please drop us a line if you would like us to gig e.t.c.
After some thinking Arsnik has come to the conclusion to part ways with Bassist Dan F. Matt Abraham's of Suffer The Demise (http://www.myspace.com/sufferthedemise) will be filling in for us at our Battle of the bands gig, but we are on the lookout for a full time replacement. If you play bass and live in the Bristol/Bath area please drop us a line we would be very interested.
Arsnik have now found a permanent replacement for Dan f. Jon Tayer will be joining the band after our Moles Battle Of the Bands gig on May 20th. Matt Abraham's will still be filling in and Keith, James and Sam thank him very much for his spare time. After the gig new pictures and songs will be coming out of Arsnik so watch this space!
After the shock surprise of getting through on the audience vote at Moles Battle Of The Bands, Arsnik will be playing with new permanent bassist John Tayler on 10th of June. One again Arsnik would like to thank Matt Abraham's for filling in for us at the gig he did a very good job.Review for junction gig!:
"...Arsnik. Falling somewhere between Discharge and early Napalm, the racket these whey faced adolescents produce is gloriously chaotic and frenzied, which seems at odds with the dexterous musicianship on display from the individual members. Who gives a shit anyway. They certainly don't. Even an abortive cover of 3 Inches of Blood's "Deadly Sinners" doesn't temper the party vibe that's happening onstage. Good for them. Have a bag of Pear Drops on me. Splendid."
