About Me

In early 1987, Buck Bush moved to Oklahoma City to form just a "good time rock and roll band". Little did he know that eighteen years later his band would become one of the longest running and most wanted live rock acts in Oklahoma. In the late 80's, gigs were fairly plentiful with the live music scene flourishing in the Oklahoma City area. Gaining the reputation of "have band, will play", 36 Inches quickly became known not only in the OKC scene, but around the state as well. As the music scene started changing in the mid to late 90's, the need for live rock bands diminished. Many of the OKC bands were either breaking up or trying to change their image or their musical style. Not Buck, and definitely not 36 Inches.Over the years, Buck would have member changes here and there, but one thing never changed. 36 Inches was a high-energy, over-the-top live rock and roll band that made you leave the club or venue with a smile on your face. And Buck is still proud of that fact to this day. It's taken years, but he's put together a band he couldn't be happier with. Picking up some members of ES3 - a band that has played many gigs with Buck since the early 90's, it's like he's jamming with his best friends every night. Now Buck has an over-the-top band with a wide musical range and years of experience to conform to any setting, and the gigs are plentiful again. From playing the small live clubs with The All American Rejects to having the opening slot for ZZ Top at the Zoo Amphitheater, the years of hard work and sticking to their rock roots has paid off. 36 Inches is a force to be reckoned with, and they are still just a "good time rock and roll band".
