My new song "Cheap Guitars" 2008 FIRST PLACE winner in the Walnut Vally (Winfield) "new songs" Show case and Honorable mention Great Lakes Song Writing Contest. "I think she likes me" 2008 Walnut Vally alternate winner and Great Lakes Song Writing Contest Finalist. "Man to man face to face" was an honorable mention in the 2004 Michigan song writing contest. I grew up musically speaking in the Port Huron Mi. area in a band called "Burnwood" that my brother Joe and I started, together we covered the states East to West. After a twenty year run Burnwood retired. I enjoy playing solo now very much but look forward to doing some "Chickin Pickin" in a hot country band some day. I teach guitar,banjo and dobro at Hanson Pro Music in Port Huron and The School for Strings also in P.H. Huber Breeze Music in Fraser 60 -70 students weekly. I play Taylor Guitars,Vintage "Dobro" Resophonics,my banjo is a rare Great Lakes top tension (the neck once belonged to Bill Keith) built right here in Ann Arbor Mi. And my friends at Deering Banjo's are going to build me one this year. My pedal steel guitar is an old MSA that needs a litte work but still plays like crazy.
