Ace Of Spades Disco

Hi, I'm Richard from the Ace of Spades Disco in the United Kingdom.I am a one man outfit based in Camberley, Surrey. I have been successfully doing disco's now since 1985.I have travelled far and wide with the disco, doing disco's in Nottinghamshire, Bournemouth, Leicestershire and Suffolk. This year alone I will be playing in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Broadway in Worcestershire and Gosport, Hampshire.I only travel that sort of distance for friends so most of my work is based around the three county border of Camberley (Surrey/Hants/Berks).I work in the financial sector during the week and the due to the nature of the disco (i.e. people want their parties at weekends) this is how I spend my Friday and Saturday nights.I would take it up as a living apart from the fact that I still don't see it being viable for me to get enough work throughout the weekdays to pay the bills.I did however work for six months as a D.J. in Gran Canaria in 1999 and still sort of have the itch to go back and do it again.As far as the bookings I accept are concerned, I draw a line at doing disco for teenage parties that aren't supervised (I've been to them when I was a teenager and I know what they're like!!!!) and I don't do kids parties either (I just think that there are other disco's who do a much better job, and enjoy them!!)Primerily I run the disco because I enjoy what I do. I enjoy getting people to dance and involving people. That is always a fantastic feeling.
