A 27 year old dj from Kazakhstan. one the few local pioneers who started playing vinyl in the late 90's at
the age of 17. due to lack of music material had to travel to London from time to time using every opportunity to fill up his collection with new records. in 2001 he started his first weekly electronic music radio show on local station that lasted for almost 5 years.
by that time he got his degree in economics and started working in a bank but did not quit playing music. he kept djing in most of the clubs of Almaty (the biggest city in the country and former capital) and other cities throwing his own parties. in 2001 with the help of his friends
he organized the first major open air event wich had gathered more than 1000 people high up in the mountains of the Tyan Shyan chine giving a huge boost to local club culture and inspiring many other djs and promoters. during his djing career he had been playing different kinds of sounds, and had been through many music streams and influences, and all that way he had been promoting deep and melodic sounds of house music.in 2007 with a fellow dj he starts a new weekly show "12 inch" on a local radio station where he promotes his vision of electronic sound, working with the leading kazakh and russian djs and promoters. not long ago he started producing his own music in collaboration with his friend in a project called "The Wawawiwas". the name of the project takes its roots from the expression of famous comic character Borat thanks to whom Kazakhstan had became so popular lately =) the first official release will be the remix on a single Magenta by Lokitas. in the near future
they plan to release their first own single or EP.besides of spinning and making music Aidar has many other interests. for the last 4 years he had visited most of the major music festivals of europe as a journalist and photographer. His articles can be found in local music magazines and web sites. he had been into snowboarding for more than 8 years taking part in many snowboard contests and competitions.He dreams of gaining the gap of music knowledge and piano playing skills wich he did not get while studying in musical school wich will help him in creation of music.
