I am here for Friends

About Me

Way too difficult a field to fill in. I'll keep it simple: I edit, I design, I'm a great friend and daughter and sister and auntie, I'm addicted to beauty, I'm on a constant quest to answer the question "Why?" and I aspire to be happy for the rest of my life.Get your layout at Urflair.com

My Interests

Reading, watching movies, kissing, eating, dancing, drinking. In that order, often combined.

Music:

I'm in love with hip-hop, and having long-standing affairs with drum & bass and anything I can dance to. My iTunes library is pretty much dominated by Talib Kweli; there's hella Jay in there, too. I'd see Esthero in concert a million times.

Movies:

I'm a sucker for a twist (and a message), so my fave movie of all time is probably Fight Club. I also know all the words to Boomerang, Napoleon Dynamite, love jones, Gia and Snatch.

Television:

In my DVR: Scrubs, The Office, House and Grey's.

Books:

Kindred changed something in me when I read it, and In Perfect Light is the book I wish I'd written.

Heroes:

My people.

My Column in Parlour Magazine: Does Polygamy = Batshit Crazy?

So I went to Howard University for undergrad (Go Bison!). Most cats think of homecoming when they think of my alma mater, but there's so much more to it: an amazing education, an extraordinarily inter...
