20 Picks empezaron siendo cinco amigos que compartían aficiones en común; El Skate y el Punk Californiano como estilo de música.
Todo comenzó cuando Omar y Dani se conocieron patinando y conectaron enseguida a la temprana edad de 11 años. Poco después conocieron a Javi. Ferry, que también era skater, no tardó en integrarse al grupo cuando conoció a Omar en el colegio donde ambos cursaban la E.S.O Mike llegó más tarde cuando vino a vivir a Barcelona y conoció a Dani en el colegio cuando ambos tenían 15 años y poco tardaron en hacer una gran amistad.
Al cumplir los 16 años, Dani se compró su primera guitarra eléctrica y junto a Omar, que desde pequeño había hecho canto, no tardaron en intentar tocar canciones de sus ídolos. Poco después Javi se compró su guitarra eléctrica y Ferry, la batería. A Mike le llegó el bajo en poco tiempo.
Decidieron juntarse en una peluquería como local de ensayo e intentar tocar esta vez, su propia música. Así pues, nació 20Picks.
Al poco tiempo, el grupo pareció hacerse más serio y de cinco miembros pasaron a ser los 4 actuales, con la incorporación de Steve al bajo y de Xavi a la bateria.
Ahora se toman su música como un estilo de vida.
20 Picks started being five friends that had some hobbies in common: Skateboarding and Californian Punk as a music style.
The story starts when Omar and Dani met each other doing skateboarding and they got on well so quickly when they both were just 11 years old. Few time later, they met Javi. Ferry was skater too, and it didn't take too long until Ferry joined our group of friends, thanks to the fact that he met Omar in the school where they were studying.
When Dani was 16, it was time to buy his first electric guitar and with Omar, who was singer since he was just a kid, tried to play the favorites songs from their heroes. After that, Javi bought his electric guitar and Ferry, his drums. Mike got his bass in a few weeks later.
Finally, they decided to get in a hair saloon as a place to practice some music, but this time, their own music. Then, 20Picks was born.
Nowadays the band is getting more serious and they’re 4 members, with the new one Steve as Bass Player and Xavi as Drummer.
Now, their music is their lifestyle.
