DJ JAPE DU MARIE BIOGRAPHY (STORYLINE)
Jaap de K. is a new talent from Holland. He touched his first record in 1999 and started playing Drum ‘n Bass & Nu Skool Breakz.
After some years Jaap started to play more progressive styles. He fell in love with artists like Eric Prydz and Remy.
While playing as a dj he decided to give producing a shot and started creating his own sound, but it never came as far as a release.
He organized and played at known parties all around the Netherlands and he is a wellknown face in the underground dance scene.
He played extensively throughout the Netherlands at renowned clubs & festivals. He also played in European countries like Lithuania & Belgium.
In 2007 J. met M. de Jong and they produced a track together and find a company to release it. Jaap came in with an idea which resulted in "Outsider".
The track was immediately signed to Oxygen (Spinnin') Recordings.
"Outsider" combines a perfectly built dance-floor bottom-end with some spot-on effects and minimal, while Maarten’s edit is more punchy and extends the track
more to tech- trance.
"Outsider" has support by Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Armin van Buuren, Ronski Speed and
has been played at Trance Energy 2008.
After Outsider Jape started his own record label called: "Flatlife Records" . Jaap is using more aliases like
"Jack Wax" but with Jape Du Marie he is performing and producing formely trance.
