BLAKE CARRINGHTON – THE STORY
The phenomenon known as Blake Carringhton, born Ron James, was raised in the hip-hop mecca of the south, Atlanta, Georgia. A rambunctious youngster, Blake began imitating Michael Jackson with precision, with a stage presence that made onlookers part with their money. With this first taste of stardom witnessed through the adulation of the crowd, a mission to entertain the masses was born. All of this at a tender age of four years old!By eight, Blake saw his writing skills emerge, over the beats found in the now-classic Run DMC and LL Cool J tracks. A small amount of preparation was all that was needed to groom a natural talent into a first-place contender. Blake was already on his way, placing ahead of the group who later recorded as the R&B sensation, Silk. With such a deep talent pool in the A-T-L, Blake was forced early on to 'shine brightest among the stars.'With another year of growth and lyrical maturity, Blake decided to form his first rap group. The Young MCs, led by the lyrics of this amazing ten year old, joined the emerging hip-hop scene. The group Eric B. and Rakim served as a key influence for Blake at this time. Further influenced by the growing trend of dancing that took over the hip-hop community of the Dirty South, Blake perfected his footwork for the next few years --- continuing to shape him into the polished performer he was destined to be. A born entertainer, Blake's talent afforded him the opportunity to open for fellow hip-hop sensations: Bone Thugs N Harmony, Eightball & MJG, and Kriss Kross.Years of growth and creativity followed, and you can now get your hands on the hot mix, 'For the Streets' -- combining Blake's dirty south lifestyle with an east coast flow. Tracks from the tape have been broadcast to millions through the airwaves of Atlanta's V-103 on Jermaine Dupri's "So-So Def Radio" -- featured on T.I.'s remix of '24s', Trillville’s 'Headbusta’s' & Chingy’s 'Right Thurrr'.Freestyle contests are taken with ease. It's no longer a contest anymore. The dirty south freestyle scene has no further competition. It's time to take it worldwide. Watch for the 2007 release of 'GO.' And stay tuned for 'For The Streets, Pt. II.' currently in production.
