About Me

In 1969, Character X was born in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A few years later he migrated to Jamaica in the Caribbeans. It was in Jamaica that he heard of hip hop. In a county that is dominated by reggae music and the dub dance hall culture, hip hop appealed more to Character X than any other music art form.
I have a few track I did back in the early 90's that I did in my prime. I was heavily influenced by the BOMB SQUAD and you can hear it through my old work I have posted here. I had given up on the music industry and when to school and received a degree in Broadcasting. I saw a add for the LOUD.com competition and it sparked something in me. So one thing lead to another and I'm slowly making my way back into the game. Recently I went to Arizona for a One Stop Conference related to hip hop producers. There was a wealth of information that was presented at the work shop. I had submitted some work to the competition and I'm glad I was not selected. I was out of tune with my beats. Drums tracks is what I have problems on and Im working on that, but when it comes to arranging samples, thats a different story all together. Arage ments is one of my high points when it come to making music. In a few months I will be complete by making drum kicks.
I just did a collaboration with Craig G for a track called SideKick. This is a more up to date track. I have a few more tracks that Im working on. Right now I'm rebuilding my catalog from scratch. Im relearning new tools and ideas as well as reinventing myself. Character X
