Elvis On Mars

Elvis on Mars started out as Big Damage in Easter 1989. In the beginning, it was just Alex and Ralph, a crate of beer, a bunch of videos & a couple of samplers.We auditioned a couple of guitarists & Andy ended up being the one with the jangliest kind of style. Mick Paul joined us later on Bass.Based in East Grinstead (Sussex, England), we played many gigs in the South of England, pulling in small crowds of people by pretending to be the supporting act for well-known bands with recording deals and real groupies.We changed our name a couple of times (Velvet Elvis, Over The Wire), before settling on Elvis On mars. It's not that we think it's a great name - it's just that we can't be bothered to change it to anything else.
