I’d have thought this would be in the same section as “Generalâ€â€¦ Well, my name is Tara (just realised it doesn’t say so on my profile). I’m one of those odd people that sit in the corner of the library reading Nietzschean philosophy and generally not exactly much fun… But I’m trying to master the whole social thing and I’m improving each day! (I hope) I think I have changed a lot over the past year and I’m a better person than I once was, well, more considerate at least. I am now more willing to try things I had previously never considered and I’m glad I have done. I enjoy researching subjects outside my usual scope and expanding my knowledge (but sometimes I just like to be a know-it-all :p)
On another note, here are the “basicsâ€, I’m a 2nd year university student, I study English. I hope to be doing my Masters degree the year after next (and maybe even a PhD). For someone who hated the social experience of school with so much intensity, I really do love university. I think education is to valuable to waste and anyone who would pride themselves on being “stupid†needs to be eradicated…
I work as a chef (in Tescos no less). It is quite a vapid job, but it gives me time to think. I’d like another job because I’m a compulsive shopper! :D
I have long been a goth, and it’s a lot more fun than you’d think! It is the best of all subcultures in my humble opinion. :p
I have a little motorbike. I’m probably the world’s worst biker since I’m never out on it… But Aidan always tries to help me out. Also, I’ve been trying to learn to drive
a car which is just terrifying.
Aidan, by the way, is the one boy who doesn’t have cooties. He takes good care of me, and few people can say they have a great friendship with their partner. On a side note, and I hate when people get this wrong- I don’t like “menâ€, just Aidan. So basically I’m a lesbian with a boyfriend. Oh yes, I enjoy a paradox.
When I’m not deep in contemplation, I can be found geeking out over things I’m passionate about!
Also, I’m just back from WGT, having had a lovely time with my darlings! It was one of my long-time ambitions to attend!
Good for you if you got to the end of this section without falling asleep.
