About Me

I'm a visual artist living in western massachusetts. I also work at a fantastic smooth jazz station in Northampton, Ma-- 106.3 Smooth FM as a jock 7 to midnight on weekdays; 6 a.m. to 12 p.m on Sundays. WWW.WEIBFM.COM I've had tons of art shows; illustrated a children's book (Coota and the Magic Quilt); Illustrated the cover of a book featured in Fortune Magazine. I've been commissioned for public art projects and judged art comps. Rebuilding my portfolio as I speak. My parents live in Illinois along with my sister Robin--who is, by the way, very funny and subversively intelligent.I have great friends--they indulge my insatiable desire for the ridiculous. However, they are all very intelligent, so talking about stupid stuff in a stupid way belies the genius we all share. I bought a house in 2006--a 127 year old victorian brownstone that has seen better days--which means alot of my days are spent restoring it to its former glory. I love kids and all furry creatures (well almost all).My dear friend and radio compadre Kim De Shields has finally convinced me to join myspace--so make it worth my while!!! I'm a guaranteed good time in any medium!

My Interests

Painting, of course. I love to shop for art. Day trips and short trips(2-3 days) are a specialty. House restoration and the like. Cheap dinners with cheap conversation. Movies(sometimes), sleep Football. Becomig fluent in french, japanese, and swahili!

I'd like to meet:

Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, and Obama's momma (but she's passed on).People who are not too serious about themselves. Funny people.

Music:

I run the gamut: classical, 80's classics, classic rock, 90's alternative, Old school hip hop and rap. No country--it's the devil's music.

Movies:

Lots of quirky movies--one being Volcano High. Some standards: East of Eden, The Manchurian Candidate (original), 40 year old virgin...it's not even worth mentioning them all--I get tired of typing.

Television:

30 Rock, The office, Desperate Housewives, My House is Worth What? My Name is Earl. Nick at Nite...blah,blah,blah. Actually, I'm not supposed to admit to watching television being that I'm on the radio.

Books:

The Good Book, anything Joyce Carol Oates.
