I am Lady Elder Tasha Sharron Baston, a preacher, gospel vocalist and First Lady of the St. Luke Cathedral in Laurelton, Queens, New York.I am very happily married to my best friend, the love of my life, my husband and my pastor, Rev. Dr. Michael A. Baston. God has truly blessed this union. With our Love of God and faith in Him we know that the Lord will continue to lift us up where we belong!I have been blessed to travel throughout the country sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in churches and other venues desiring to hear the unadulterated and life changing truth that can only be found in the word of God.I have been ministering in song since the age of three and have had the pleasure of working with gospel greats such as Richard Smallwood, Cissy Houston and Kirk Franklin and God’s Property, among others. I also value my role as a musical educator and have directed a number of choirs including the Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Orlando, Fl, the Gospel Chorale at Palm Beach Atlantic College, in Palm Beach Fl, Miracle Tabernacle Church in Trenton, NJ, the Women of Worship of the First Corinthian Baptist Church, the Berkeley College Gospel Choir in New York, NY, and now serve as the Musical Overseer for St. Luke.As important as preaching and singing are to me, my great joy is the ability to help others. It was that love for service that motivated me to establish Tehillah Ministries. It is through this enterprise that I continue to address the issues that Christian women face today by providing counseling, hosting seminars and shut-ins and preaching at women’s conferences throughout the tri-state area. These efforts are why my scripture of mediation can be found in the first verse of Psalms 34: “I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in mouth.â€I firmly believe in the importance of education. I am a graduate of Berkeley College where I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Business Administration at NYACK College’s New York City Campus. I am also in real estate sales.
