About Me

Where to begin. Well I've gone through as many transformations than Optimus Prime. I know, lame joke. I've been fat, skinny, fat again, skinny again, fat, and currently going back down to where I need to be. Isn't there a better way to stay in shape. Working out, dieting, fads. I've read tons of books, and read even more articles. I consider myself an expert of health and wellness at this point. Why is it so hard to stick to a plan though? I've a strong will, and willing to go through hell and back to succeed. I've done it a number of times, but can't stick to it. This has been a major part of my life fighting with health issues, and I guess it's why I'm writing about it. In any case what's working for me now is keeping a positive attitude and trying to balance what's right for me. In my life I've found that keeping healthy requires spacing time for things you need. I need to work a certain amount so that I have time to get exercise. I need to eat normally, and healthy. That means when people start heading home from work, you leave as well, and if you said you are going to work out 3 times a week, then do it. This is one of the hardest things to follow, mainly because I'm a workaholic, and I don't usually feel like doing much after work. Exercising in the morning doesn't work either. I've also found eating balanced meals and frequent snack keeps my energy up, and it's not all that hard to do. Keeping things in moderation is hard, since I love to eat. Most people have this issue if you are struggling with weight and well being. The only thing I can do is keep thinking that if I can control myself now, I won't have to suffer later. Well, folks I've been to later and I've suffered. So there is no better way to motivate you than going through those periods of health issues bad enough to wake you up and think hard and seriously about staying healthy. I guess that enough about that, hope no one thought this was an infomercial. Just me sharing about me.What else..Well I've pretty much been everywhere in the world I've wanted to go on this planet, and lots of places I wish I never knew about. I didn't serve in the military but I've been smack dab in it all. Whether walking along the Siberian borders with a sniper rifle pointed at my head or trekking across the amazon with rebel forces on my back. I've seen and done just about everything. Hasn't all been bad, many times I've found myself enjoying a nice ale in a pub in Oxford, England, and enjoying Sushi in the Ginza district of Japan. It's been a true journey and I'm fortunate to have had that experience. My other option was to look at microchips through an electron microscope. Maybe when I'm 50, but for now I'm still interested in doing things that I can while I'm still young. I'm leaving the boring stuff for when I'm way to old to care. The closer...One thing I've noticed is that if you want to succeed, you must do it while you have motivation and a damn good plan. A master plan is what I'm talking about. Keep your plan simple, keep it focused, and you can accomplish anything. I've had goals, and most of them have succeeded. I'm really glad my wife puts up with most of my crazy plans. She's also part of the whole grand plan. I am very lucky to have her and she may not know it half the time, but I love her lots. I just want her to know that all this craziness we go through is for the better good even though it doesn't seem that way at first. Nothing is easy, because if it were then we wouldn't be thinking life is hard.Hope you all understand me better.
