Voces Inocentes, Venceremos, Granito de Arena, The Revolution Will Not be Televised, Bus 154, Loose Change, Motorcycle Diaries, Fidel, Senorita Extraviada, todas las del 6 de julio...many more!
I hate TV! But I'll admit it, sometimes if I have time tho I'll check out some sports. oh yeah, I am a nerd...if I have time I'll hit up the history channel!!! gotta feed my brain! Plus I am a history teacher so it helps me know more about what I teach haha
Waaaaaay to many to list here. I must name a few tho...Pedagogy of the Oppressed, V.I Lenin; What is to be Done, Miguel Marmol, Nunca Estube Sola, Las venas abeirtas de America Latina, Malcolm X Autobio, Fidel Castro: My Early Years, A people's history of the US, The Lies my Teacher told me, the Marx-Engels reader, Corky Gonzales: Messages to Aztlan.....shit many many more!!I MUST say that I HATE POST-MODERNIST BULLSHIT!!! I stay away from the "let's get in a circle, hold hands, burn some incense, share our feelings, smoke weed, write a poem about it but i'm not in a revolutionary organization" type books. While the post-modernists cry about their feelings sing songs, perform spoken word, breakdance and write poems, we'll be in the streets with our gente organzing a true people's movement! Don't get me wrong, all of that stuff is kool, but any and ALL of those things will NEVER lead to our people's freedom.
Fidel Castro, Celia Sanchez, Che Guevara, Schafik Handal, Zapata, Pancho Villa, Lucio Cabanas, Genaro Vazquez, Digna Ochoa, Farabundo Marti, Sandino... all the Revolutionary women who don't get named in the HIStory books....all the Raza that busts their asses EVERYday to simply feed their children! FREE PALESTINE!!! My heroes are all of the Palestinian Freedom Fighters, Iraqi and Afghan Nationalists who are militarilly defeating the gringo (US Military) invaders, imperialists, torturers, rapists and TRUE TERRORISTS!!! Just like in Korea and Vietnam, the gringos will either leave on thier own or they will have their asses kicked out by a brave people who are willing to fight till their LAST drop of blood! DEATH to Imperialism!!! A strike against imperialism anywhere is a strike against imperialism for us too!Other heroes are Malcolm X, Ho Chi Minh, Sitting Bull, Manuelito (Navajo), Crazy Horse, Black Panthers, Kwame Nkrumah, Hugo Chavez... basically anyone who has fought or is currently fighting against White Power Imperialism & Capitalism!!! One day, our people will be free. One day we will take back Latin America!! Venceremos!!
