Sweet Shadow

Everything began in 2004 while Guila (Guitar) was playing with another band which was looking for singer, after trying some, the band decided to use a choir instead, thats when he got in touch with Cristina who accepted and began rehersing with them. That band split up after two months. The idea of making another band was on the air but nothing happened until Cristina called Guila for and acoustic performance which never happened. By the end of 2004 Guila and Cristina were dertemined to make a band and found a drummer who played only on one rehearsal, after that they were stuck in the same place they were before. Guilas boss had a friend who played drums in a few bands and currently was available and her boyfriend played bass in other bands so she suggested them to complete the line up, Guila met Erly and Miguel on a Dream Theater gig in Chile and when back in town everybody got together and started rehearsing and playing song from bands like Within Temptation, Evanescence, Him, Lullacry, Paradise Lost and Nightwish. There was something missing: The name. After 8 months of rehearsing we decided to get a name for the band, begin doing gigs and recording, thats when when we decided that the name that really expressed what the band was doing was SWEET SHADOW, the sweetness of Cristinas voice plus the dark agressive side of the music itself. Sweet Shadow was born in 2006, we rushed into studio to record our first promotional material NON-EXISTENCE and on the early 2007 made the video for the same song which currently had good reviews on local tv. The first gig we had was with local band Libellula which proved the that the band had a lot of potential. Currently the band is in the process of pre-production of the upcoming first Sweet Shadow Album.
After a sudden turn band broke up on August 2009. It's members are still making music in different projects.
