Ordinary Li(f)e Concept Revealed!
Ordinary Li(f)e is a concept album about the multiple-personality disturb that the decadence of our society forces all of us into. In a world that can never wait, we are indeed bounded to adopt multiple layers of ourselves, a billion masks and a billion souls just in order to perform at best in any occasion and before anyone we meet. This makes us appear always perfect and brilliant in the exterior but ignites whole worlds of desperate confusion in the deepest core of us. Our minds get usually astounded by the oceans of lies we tell even to ourselves, and as a final result we are forced to lose unity and coherence, getting always more and more damned to live a plastic untrue life where we can slightly survive only walking the fine line between sanity & madness, reality & fiction, desperation & euphoria. But sometimes we surrender and we start to lose control...and this is what happens to Will, the main character of our story. Will is the prototype of all of us, leading an ORDINARY LIFE that he himself at once, one day, realize it's just an ORDINARY LIE on the whole. He got millions of clones in his mind and uses them as partition of his own self in order to interact with the rest of the world: but at last he gets lost in the caleidoscope of masks he used to wear, losing both the very sense of life and the touch with his own identity. Who's really Will? Who are we? What makes life real? These are only a few of the dramatic questions our poor Will askes himself...but...wait a moment...WHICH WILL? We can easily count about seven Wills in a day...As you can see, that's The Reason for a name, ahahah!

BIOGRAPHY: The Seventh Will was born in the hot Roman summer of 2006, when the former members of an earlier prog metal band called Kimaera Project(Francesco Bassoli on guitar, Luca Parca on bass, Tiziano Cofanelli on drums & Claudio Stasi ..boards) joined the singer Luca Guidobaldi in a brand new musical experience. Kimaera Project was a Dream Theater cover band originally formed by the two long-time friends Francesco & Luca Parca, which had indeed great success in the local metal underground scene in the past years; those two cool guys, starting from their genuine passion for hard rock & heavy metal since they were kids, through years of practice and of study, actually managed to reach great technical skills and to develop them into an eclectical and very impressive style taking account of a vaste range of musical patterns & genres. This was mainly due to the courses they've been attending over the years at Neuma Music School here in Rome, that really made their talents ripen and formed also Tiziano Cofanelli and Luca Guidobaldi, who would have joined them later in the Seventh Will.
Very soon they became fond of progressive rock/metal as well as of fusion and jazz-rock, which were the languages which they found perfect to mix at best their own influences and tecniques. Their strong metal roots yet made them actually fall in love with Progressive in general, and with Dream Theater, a band they really owe a lot for its way of incredibly merging very different musical worlds and playing styles in a uniquely modern, expressive, magic and coherent creation.
In late 2004 the young drummer Tiziano Cofanellijoined Francesco & Luca in the DT-covering experience, and some months later the four found the proggest man in the world to add to the band: Claudio Stasi, a man which is just one thing with his piano, with an incredible passion for both classical music and the experiments & exaggerations of artists like Emerson Lake & Palmer, Symphony X and Planet X. With Claudio & Ilaria's voice, Kimaera Project was ready to spread its wings, and actually did it.
But it didn't take much to the band to understand its very ambition and scope: the real dream, in Cesco, Parca, Tizzio & Claudio's minds, was that of composing their own original music, filled with all their particular feelings, thoughts and long practiced playing styles. They shortly became sick of covering songs written by others: they wanted to "create" their own personal "dream theater". So, Kimaera broke up. But after a short break, the "prog four" were ready again to rock…and a new Beginning, a new Will, the Seventh Will took shape.
Cesco's improvements and guitar progresses in playing jazz and fusion, once abandoned for a while the heavy metal patterns he came to feel just too obvious and abused, brought new motives and hints to the band; Parca's new born passion for the experimentalisms and the acid, oniric sounds of the prog rock bands of the Seventies, made him partly change his musical point of view towards a sound closer and closer to that of Pink Floyd, Genesis & Porcupine Tree. Tizzio and Claudio too were involved in this process of renovation and played indeed a vital role to enlarge the band's past views into a new exciting dimension.
A new Sound, a new Horizon had to break through the Scene. In the reharsal room, the first original notes and chords started to come out: soon, the first song, "In Circle", was composed. Luca Guidobaldi, then, a singer already known to the four through his long-time training at Neuma, was called to join the new project: the brand new song, and a lot of other "musical temptations" just conceived by the group, seemed to be only waiting for his brilliant, catchy, seventies'style rock voice. And the hint of a concept album, imagined by Luca Parca, took shape day by day through the collaboration with the other Luca now in the band. The magic was in circle. No one could stop it anymore.
My World Visitor Map!
The Band's CV. Since then, the band has been actually creating more and more songs in order to complete the original concept. In Nov. 2007 Seventh Will came out with their first demo album named "Pink Clouds And Heavy Rain", containing the first four tracks. The first long playing cd "Ordinary Li(f)e" will be out in a few weeks (expected: Nov. 08), instead, and it will be a full-feature ten tracks'concept album.
Live Experience. The band has also been playing live a lot around Rome in the last two years. Seventh Will has been performing shows in some of the best underground rock venues & live clubs here in Rome, such as Jailbreak, Circolo degli Artisti, Sinister Noise, Alkatraz, Black Bird, and many others. Moreover, they took part to several rock contests, festivals and events such as Emergenza Rock, DreamWave Contest, Kanimambo for Africa, Caracalla Summer Festival, and a lot more.
Here you are Seventh Will, then, folks…The last frontier of a pure experimental prog rock experience. Let yourself wild and free in our mystic dance, through our sweet psychedelie. An ascending, condescending descent from heaven to hell, and back. Let your spirit lose yourself through our pink clouds of reveries, through the endless sunsets of our dreaming symphony... through our moods and moons, from tide to tide, within the lullaby of a time just beyond time. Come taste the band then, and…never try to break the Circle!
