About Me
   Favourite quote
'Have fun on your island. It will be very lonesome there. You might starve to death. But if you want to take that chance, then I can't really stop you. And if you want to be a ghost, then I cant stop that either. But if you were a ghost on your island, then you'd be able to survive.'
The man with green eyes
I'm an adult. When did that happen? And how do I make it stop?
As children, we think that we are unbreakable, unstoppable, immortal.
Well, some do think that. Okay, I did.
Then we fall down, break an arm or cut a finger. And there comes the pain and mostly we cry. We cry because it hurts as hell. And the myth of us being gods is forced to become… yeah just a myth.
We make up our minds and realise that life is nothing we expect it to be.
Our parents teach us how to behave nicely and how not to kick our friends’ arses even if they deserve that. We learn how to communicate and become good members of society. We learn how not to put our toes out of line and how not to break the rules. But sometimes what we are taught to do, fails. Well, it fails most of the time and the reason for that is very simple: life likes being a bitch
.
So we fight. We put the toes out of line, then our legs land there too, then sooner we can notice, the line is behind us and the ones who drew it are just standing there, watching what we are gonna do next. And we break the rules. One after another, or all in the same time.
Truth is that it feels good, it feels like we were free, like we had control and we were law. But we aren’t.
We can cross a line but another one will be there waiting for us. We can break a rule but there will be another. We could try and break all the rules, we could try to cross all the lines. I bet some did. What we do is up to our morality, common sense and mostly to fear. A lot things In life are about the fear.
When we are a little bit older we realise that we can’t be told what to do anymore. We have to choose our own paths and stop waiting for our mothers to take us by hands and guide us. We have to choose all the time. Some choices are important and some others ain’t.
Like everything.
But choices are what define us. Us the way we are.
Some people learn in the process that they aren’t children anymore. It doesn’t matter how old or how young we are, there are factors that make us realise that we ain’t children and we became adults.
We can hide under the pillows. We can try to run away. But it finds us no matter where we are.
I’ll tell you what:
I like being an adult. I like knowing that I can. I can do what I want, I can be whom I wanna be, I can choose my path. It’s hard. It’s always gonna be hard. And I like it.
