You know, this whole about me thing seems a bit cheesy but since it's here I might as well explain. My name is Corey, for one. At the moment I'm working full time as a freight unloader at Walmart. Shitty job, yeah. But it pays and I don't have the time to really be picky. I'll be moving in late August to Washington (the state since people thing Washington D.C.). I'll be moving there to attend college at Evergreen State University. I'll only be taking a few courses the first semester since I missed out on the good programs there. I'm interested in studying foreign languages, film/media, music, as well as criminal justice. I have no idea how I'm going to work that all in but I'm going to try. There's a whole lot I want to accomplish in my life time, but the big one is simply making a big difference. Society, especially in this country is on a continuous downhill slope. Hopefully one day I'll be part of the change that will make things better.
On the personality side of things, the below quiz explains me basically in a nut-shell. I'm very passionate about my opinions but that doesn't mean I won't accept different views. I'll sit down and debate until I pass out or I am straight out proven wrong.
Religion: I'm agnostic it's a comfortable grey area for me since I honestly don't know what actually is or isn't and I'm not about to go around assuming I do know.
Politically: I can be a bit extreme. I have mixed liberal and conservative views though I lean more towards conservative. Freedom is not free in this world and people need to realize that. Yeah life is good and we should all just be happy and lovey but the world isn't like that. It is simply too chaotic to really think that everything can be solved while maintaining peace. I agree it should be a last resort in a lot of cases but it is not something I will go against if the cause is just. I believe in human rights but to an extent. In life I try to be a good person and as such I feel that I deserve the rights that are given to me. Though I feel that those convicted and proven guilty get off with way too much. The law system and priorities of this country are twisted. Rapists and child molesters have minor sentences while murderers serve extended ones. I am not saying murderers shouldnt but I feel all serious life effecting crimes should have serious punishments. None of this tap on the wrist crap. Good people should not have to live in fear of the law or of others. The law should protect the innocent and apprehend as well as punish, the guilty. I hate injustice. I am the last person who would stand idle if something I felt was wrong was going on. It gets me into a lot of trouble but that's how I am. I become frustrated and irate at the thought of someone who has killed and/or molested an innocent person getting away free, able to live their lives as normal. It's wrong on every level.
