Flagellum Dei

About Me

Flagellum Dei was summoned in the end of 1998 by D.Sabaoth (Sepulchral Winds now, guitars) and Nefastus (vocals). In the beginning of 1999 Vulturius (bass) and Byleth (drums) joined the circle. 2000 sees the release of the first promo-tape "Thy Plague...", followed by some live desecrations. A year after Empress (guitar) joins and Byleth leaves, being replaced by Kako Daemon. During that same year F. D. releases "Victory of Tyranny", demo-cdr. More live shows, and soon after Empress leaves the band. During 2003, F. D. participated in 2 releases, a 3-way split-cd with Lux Ferre / Sterkvind released by War Productions and a compilation of Portuguese Black Metal, "Lusitânia Dark Horde", released by Nightmare Productions. Some months after this release, Vulturius too left and in the end of the year Adon Chrysaor (guitar) joins. The first album arrives in 2004, "Tormentor... of the False Creator", released by Bloody Productions, and tape versions by Incoffin Productions, Alastorex Records. In the same year, F.D. sees another line-up change, Nefastus leaves, being replaced by former drummer Byleth and Vagantis I.D. (bass) joins. In early 2005, Sepulchral Winds replaces Byleth on vocals and during that year "Victory of a Tyrant Agression" came out in Skull Productions, a re-release of the demo featuring 6 live tracks taken from SWR 2003 fest. M.v.K. (guitar) joins in 2006, but leaves the band that same year. The second album was recorded on late 2007 and released in 2008, again by Bloody Productions. Another line-up change some months later, Kako Daemon leaves and after some search was replaced by Skullcrusher. M.v.K. returns to the guitar in 2009. Currently the band is writing material for the 3rd album.
