yow ites, all massive ahn crew ya hear mi.I an i name Daranks ahn mi baawn inna di state ah Georgia,but raised wid mi 4 siblings dem inna Cameroon,west Africa, di country of origin of my parents.well righta nuh mi back a yard as an adult caw mi was taken to Africa as a pickney.mi deh inna a wholeheapa tings dem ahn mi get fi see clear sey life is a bumboclaat struggle.Each and every day is a brand new lesson weh wi haffi learn.pls excuse me for using the jamaican patois,but i have been very enthusiastic about it cause at a very tender age i grew around an uncle who loved reggae music so bad that i also got addicted to it , as well as influenced by it.As i grew up i came to discover veterans in the industry,at this time in the dancehall, Shabba ranks was one of the Dj's who really impressed me among others such as Super cat,Cutty ranks,Delly ranks,Buju banton,Capleton ,Sizzla,General Degree,Redrat,T.o.k.,Jah mason,Mr vegas just to name a few.i became so enthusiastic about dancehall known to me at the time as ragga that in secondary school, i was lucky to meet a guy called brown pilot, and he taught me how to dance and i soon began performing playbacks with a friend whom i bestowed the name General b.we were well known when it came to cultural evenings were evrybody was always impatient to see us perform.As things evolved, brown pilot saw my avid interest in everything jamaican and he taught me some patois which is mostly used in djing lyrics,as well as he adviced me to stop or limit my playbacks and try to be creative and come up with something people can also appreciate.Nuff respect due to Brown pilot.i'll always be thankful to you for that piece of advice.I have been writing songs and perfoming back in Cameroon eversince the year 2000 in some places like night clubs and people were so impressed they just couldn't believe their ears,some even thought i was from Jamaica.I also did some tracks with some friends in Cameroon such as Master E,Double B,G Hookz,Felors,Randy P,La Penombre,Obsqiord and had a group composed of 2.The other guy proudly acknowledges the fact that i groomed and inspired him alot and we did a few tracks together too.unfortunately we have not been able to have an album because of our financial situations back in Cameroon.well i'll trully miss my friend and partner called La Penombre,who was a french emcee,since Cameroon is a bilingual country like Canada.I also do a little bit of hip hop and i've been inspired by artist such as DMX,Busta Rhymes,Xzibit,Krs-one,Onyx,M.O.P,Method man and Redman,EPMD,Eminem just to name a few,but my thing is dancehall.I am a down to earth and open minded person receptive to new ideas.i like people who do not take advantage of others.I also love pets especially dogs as passionately as i love music and these two things i can't do without.I'm looking forward to taking my lyrical skills to a new level, as well as meeting many sponsors,producers and so forth.As well as getting alot of collaborations with other artists in the entertainment business.I make music for the love of it,the joy of it,tthe pleasure and splendour it brings.I if anything else pops up,then that's secondary, cuz i ain't doing it for the paper.
