About Me
I'm a drummer living in Los Angeles. I started playing music in my basement in Madison,CT, learning to play drums to Def Leppard, Van Halen, Rush and Genesis. All I have ever wanted to do is play the drumkit.I formed Soulcracker with Sutton Althisar in 1995 in Flagstaff, AZ while at College. We had fun, touring the Southwest playing wherever we could. We ended up on VH1's Bands on the Run and that was---crazy. After some touring success, that band broke up and I played in Safety for a few years. Afterwards, I played in Ragsy for awhile with Sutton, played a bit with Linda Strawberry and have now found myself playing soft-rock with Knights of Monte Carlo, a band that I, with my friends Jon and Travis, put together to make the big bucks. I'm now as obsessed with drumming and music since I was a kid, though I now appreciate a much wider spectrum of the music universe than just geek-hair bands from the 70s and 80s. Like, I'm really into Michael McDonald right now. He rules.I've always been into different stuff though my tastes tend to shift towards the aggressive, heavier, whackier side of things like Mike Patton, Bill Laswell, Slayer, old Helmet and heavy-stoney stuff like Sleep, Sabbath and QOTSA.I also respect guys like Vinnie Colaiuta, Gavin Harrison, Steve Gadd and Billy Cobham. Not too mention Robert Fripp, Daniel Lanois, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Prince, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin and so on and so on.I'll be posting recordings and videos of different bands of mine, some whacky song-writing ideas too.And to all the Van Stone fans: My cousin, Mr. Bonez from Lithuania, occasionally plays in Van Stone and uses this site from time to time. Since he's still a citizen of Lithuania, he has to serve a mandatory minimum 2 years of military service. He's currently the skipper of a Lithuanian coast guard boat patrolling Lake Yurasnilius, keeping watch in case those dirty-commie Reds attack again.
