I figure there is enough information about me to the left already. Besides, this site was never intended to be about me but about my "artwork". My work revolves around the difficulties people experience when trying to live with themselves and others. For this purpose, I try to create a claustrophobic universe in which people are always trapped in one way or another. A universe in which people are confronted with the difficulties of true communication. Each work is supposed to invite its spectators to reflect about the emotional perception of the photographed subject (even though this subject might remain invisible). Generally, I attempt to use contradiction and allow freedom of interpretation. I try to be analytical, but mysterious and delicate at the same time. My mode of expression ranges from hyper-realism to abstraction. Sometimes my works are in black and white, sometimes they bathe in hefty colours. In spite of this, my works are always characterized by a minimalist and modernist approach. Recent works contain echoes of, among others, Andy Warhol, Gilbert and George, the Dead Kennedys, Gavin Friday, and David Lynch. The image below should indicate what this entails.
