The band “Asgard” was founded in July, 2004 in Izmail (Ukraine) by Nickolai Chumak (year of birth - 1982; growl/clean vocals, sopilka) and Alexander Kopchik (year of birth – 1978; solo guitar, keyboards, bass). Some time later, Denis Borovok (year of birth – 1988; guitars) and Eugene Zajcev (year of birth – 1988; drums) joined the band. Each participant of the group had already their own music experience in other music collectives. The first composition of the band was the song "Wolves’ Law", and in a few months, the group represented the material to the public on their own concert. Gradually, style of the band was generated in in Expressive Gothic Doom Metal with Ancient Themes.

The opportunity for the recording of "Demo" CD appeared much more later. The recording began only at the beginning of 2006 and was successfully finished in June, 2006. At the end of the recording process, Yuri Grubnyk – an excellent guitarist - joined the band.

“Demo” CD was prepared by our own efforts and costs. "Demo" includes two compact disks (Russian and English versions) where you can find twelve audio tracks and self produced video “Lily”. Disk marked “Russian version” includes the original versions of the songs, and disk with the mark “English version” includes the translations of the original CD.

At the 6th of April 2007 “Asgard” represented their video “Lily” on TV, namely on the “MTV Russia” channel – (Moscow). A little bit later, at the 26th of April 2007 the same video was put in rotation on the “A- One (First Alternative Channel)” – (Moscow, Russia), and there was given the first great interview of the band to the public.

In May, 2007 Yuri Grubnyk has left the band by his own reasons, but at the same time, he is still the great friend of the band.

At the end of June, 2007, Denis Kutcij (year of birth – 1988; guitars) and Andrew Kramchaninov (year of birth – 1988; bass) joined the band and began to prepare for the Rock Festival “Assault of Izmail”. At the 24th of August, band took part at the Rock Festival “Assault of Izmail” as one of the headliners of this action.

Now, we are working at new material and our music became more complicated and even more colourful.
