About Me

Singer/Songwriter Bob Fruhlinger has been performing solo and with bands since 1965. Raised in New York City, he played with Soul, Acid Rock and Blues bands in the 60’s and Reggae, Acoustic Rock and Loft Jazz in the 70’s before discovering Punk Rock in 1977. With The Geeks and, later, The Dates he was a regular at CBGB and Max’s Kansas City alongside Blondie, The Ramones, Madonna, Mink DeVille, The Senders and Alex Chliton.After moving to San Francisco in 1983, he took up slide guitar and began performing as Bottleneck Bob. As a Bass player he has enhanced the rhythm sections of many local Blues bands including The High Rollers, Blind Lemon Phillips, Brother Cat, Acoustic World Music group Tapestry and Oldies band Ball of Confusion.Currently he is performing solo on Acoustic guitar and Vocal.
