Raoul Duke

Raoul Duke was formed in early 2007 by four students at Illinois State University in Normal, IL. Their music is a blend of funk, jazz, rock, electronica, and hip hop. Over time, their sound continues to evolve, but there is always an emphasis on improvisation, especially at their live shows.
Raoul Duke has shared bills with many different acts including Michael Glabicki (Rusted Root), Garaj Mahal, Future Rock, Family Groove Company, and 56 Hope Road. They also performed at the Strip Mines Music Festival in Murphysboro, IL in 2008.
"They play music that makes you want to dance, and just have a good time. They put out a great vibe and are incredibly talented musicians," said Kurtis Allen of Friends & Co.
