..Dark Theory is a one man Black Metal/Doom Metal band taking influences from a wide variety of genres including Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Doom Metal, Black Metal, Grindcore, Sludge Metal, Industrial Metal among others. Originally formed in September 2006 as a regular 4-piece with a more alternative metal and metalcore influence, the band went through many changes before all members where either fired or quit until there was just one left to continue the project alone in late 2007. The genre shifted from Metalcore to a more Thrashy style and on April the 25th 2008 a 5 track CD named 'First Blood EP' was completed and is currently avaliable. Email or add [email protected] for information on it. A second CD is currently avaliable that expands greatly on the Black Metal and Doom Metal style that was started off in previous recordings. A third CD was recently finished and is by far the best one as by now the songs have been greatly refined into a pure but experimental mix of Black Metal and Doom/Death and hopefully studio and live versions of these songs will be up soon, however Dark Theory needs a guitarist and bassist to play the songs live. In reaction to the increasingly Gothic direction of both Black Metal and Doom Metal, Dark Theory strives to be brutal and unique, mixing both genres with elements of Thrash, Industrial and Death Metal. Dark Theory also took a Black Metal sound in rejection of the local Deathcore and Metalcore overload because they all sound the fucking same.
