Brown Hair & Eyes,A Beard at the moment.I have been in several bands since leaving school, the main one however was in the 80s and early 90s. The band was called Assassin, and was a four peice guitar driven heavy rock band. I was Rhythm Guitarist and vocals, and wrote most of the music, with my older brother on bass and writing the lyrics. Since recording a Compilation Album with nine other bands called Metal Fatigue in the mid 80s,we made several trips to the studio, and spent a lot of time traveling, and doing the usual gig after gig routine. We amongst others, used Ebony Records, Abbey Green Records, and Heavy Metal Records. During a radio play of one of our recordings on the Tommy Vance Show,he said that he thought we were one of the best unsigned bands in the country. We once played a gig in St Helens, and after we finished, this fella came over and told us our music grabbed him by the balls and swung him round the hall, which I thought was quite funny. I was never quite sure what he meant by that, but I took it as a compliment. After about ten years, the band finished. After the split, my live work really finished, but I did start to help other bands, something I have continued to do.I have been back on stage from time to time since Assassin, but nothing as demanding, or so I thought. I was once invited to do a charity concert for handicapped children. It was basically a Status Quo night, and I was basically asked to help put a Quo set together. We had five days to pick the songs, rehearse and get them something like ready for stage, and strangely enough, it was one of the hardest things I ever done. We made enough for an electric car for a young handicapped boy, which was great at the time.I made some good friends during my time on the road, some I still have the good fortune to call a friend to this day.found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments..
