About Me

I am a child of the Eighties,(I was 13 in '81) and but try to remain up-to-date with,by and through things like this. I have some musical history knowledge which goes back a fair way -though not too far- that may be worthwhile. And I find Canada,in particular;and shows from there complement my status and situ in Oz.Because of the harbour and its tidal waters,there's nowhere else I would rather be.Than Sydney. The only thing is that it is a bit far from everything else !Europe,North America,even Asia.Remote.I mainly started this to highlight the Aussie Country-and-Western music here.And its major fest in Tamworth www.visitTamworth.com.au over the Australia Day long-weekend in January.In New South Wales,my home state (N.S.W.)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to think I am encouraging and promoting the local live scene in my own (small/) way by keeping track of who is touring at any given time and highlighting some of my favourites when , and just before, they arrive.it's a hobby of mine,anyway.To keep my eye in,through the media,as to the comings-and-goings of bands of all shapes and sizes.Besides,a good variety of regular music concerts is important to the feel of this,and I believe,any;city;It shows in people's faces:if they are fulfilled. It gives me silent satisfaction to think I am perhaps involved in contributing to that.By sharing and passing it on to those who will ,in future, make a much better fist of communicating this stuff with their profiles and pages as they reach mid-life and and have accumulated it all.than I am. Their are still unique styles and instruments,such as the didgeridoo,to be explored and mixed and brought into the mainstream.Already,some techno has "didge" loops incorporated and the indigenous culture of which it is a part has evolved here over tens-of-thousands of years.To be found nowhere else.
