Heavy Bug

About Me

Heavy Bug begain in late early - mid 2006 with the original name Tek Torss (Fuck You in the TeIsh Language). They recorded their first demo in GPStudio and it was picked up soon after by Junglehold Productions (known best for Monkasia). After the name change to Heavy Bug and complete change in style, Junglehold cancelled the deal. Junglehold stated they felt that Heavy Bug would not be true enough to the spirit of the Jungle and Monkland Midi Product(s).. Newly established; Bugageddon Records jumped at what they saw as a great oprotunity for thier labels recognition and the Heavy Bug project. This was a truely historic time for the world and music of the Bugs.

  • To the Gutter and Beyond: In Mid - Late 2006 "To the Gutter and Beyond" was released through Bugageddon. It was the most successful underground record since Monkasia's "MonkLand" album. An instant underground classic.
  • Gurgle Bubble: Later The same year HB released the "Gurgle Bubble" album. Gurgle Bubble was reguarded as a true successor to "To the Gutter and Beyond" by Bugs alike. Yet the new album did not impress HB sale-wise. This is said to be the root inspiration for their 3rd, and most famed album...
  • Year of the Bug: Year of the Bug was a short step away from dissorder and mayhem. It presented the listener with structure, and a sometimes epic and melodic atmosphere. Bugs all over praised this album. And some claimed to have smelt an soon-to-be sell out band.
  • Dungsteam: After a short break, HB decided to begin writing once again. In late 2006 the album "Dungsteam" was released. It was a shock to the Bug community. This album was unlike anything HB had done previously. IT STUNK! It was as if HB had bathed in the sludge of the sewers and made instruments out of feces and rat carcasses! Needless to say, the Bugs were pleased!
  • Slopera: After another short break HB was at it again. This time they promised to incorporate everything they had done thus far into one SEWEGE packed album. As always.. They succeeded. Slopera is as a combination of GUNK, CHAOS, SLUDGE, and GLUDGE.. A truely vomitable album! I am happy to state that Heavy bug remain TRUE MIDI WARRIORS to this very day!
  • who knows what they will pull off next.. or what they are capable of?...
