Lionaudio features a very large live room as well as two smaller isolation rooms. We built this studio in order to allow independent musicians the opportunity to record in a relaxed environment, with professional gear, at an affordable price. We record with an emphasis on audio experimentation. We are musicians ourselves and wanted to create a affordable alternative to high priced hourly studio rates. WE PREFER TO CHARGE BY THE PROJECT. This gives you the option of taking your time to create a recording you, as well as we can be proud of.
For those artists who for some reason do not wish to be charged on a "per-project" basis, then our standard hourly rate is $35.00/hour.
Our preferred way of recording is based on getting tone and mic placement right, BEFORE you roll tape.. although some eq'ing is necessary during mixing, if at all possible, we prefer to make your instruments sound great in the room, rather than TRY to make them sound great after you have already laid down your tracks.
Our large drum room allows us to use ambient miking in order to capture a huge drum sound, rather than using a reverb EFFECT to make you sound like you are playing in a large room. In all, this studio is here to allow you to get the sound that you have always wanted, but have never had the time, or money to spend in order to get it.
Also we are capable of setting up and running sound for any size event. We have a huge P.A. system and have done sound for large concerts and small events such as weddings.
If you are an artist that needs session musicians or a producer to complete your project, we just might be the ones for you.
