Alpha Channel is the ppsytrance or psytech music project of Jay Indigom, formed in early 2003.
Jay has been regularly locking himself in the studio to create new sounds and sequences using music synthesizers since the
year 2000. That same year, he and Steve Equisol formed the psytrance music project " D-Space " and began
building the joint-effort electronic production studio known as
"D-Space Studios."
Jay and Steve quickly learned the art of production and saw their project's first release late in the year 2001 on a compilation album by then Manhattan based Soular Records, followed by another in 2002 and a few years later solo and several project tracks were released under the San Fran label PsyBooy Records.
Alpha Channel tracks are made to light up dance floors with elements of precise hard-edged psytech fused with progressive trance's funky grooves double dipped into the deep atmosphere of a psychedelic dream.
They are made to fuse the dark stomp of the night with psytech and to slowly bring a groove in to prepare the dancers journey for the dawn and to chill down from high BPM stomping. Hard tekky, slower grooves that over time morph into slower music smoothly. FROM 150bpm to 140 to 130..to true sub 100 BPM Chillout for the people all of this is within the Alpha Channel range that had worked for many happy people over the years of performing.
Alpha Channel has had the pleasure of performing at events both indoor and outdoor from Vermont to upstate NY and
also a string of PsyBooty Record CD compilation release
parties beginning in Boston, playing NYC, with a finale in San Francisco.
Recently Jay had played with Steve as "M-Field vs. D-Space" at PA's Gaian Mind Festival, and will hit Echo Lake again as D-Space in July (my 3rd time playing this interesting North American outdoor).
Checkout the D-Space Studios Myspace page here for music from Jay's other projects. Jay has had a progressive psytrance album that was published January 2007 with Rob-ot of San Francisco which is the M-Field project.. and have about two albums worth of new material withSteve Equisol as the D-Space project, under this project we have been refining our technique and ideas of the trance space, a space of mind made in sound and music.
Thanks out to all the people who have came out and supported us in our experiments with the beats, it's always an adventure with so many elements to appreciate. All the best..
cheers~ Jay
