WDSU, "The Hive" is Delaware State University's (DSU) campus radio station. Operated primarily by Mass Communication students, participation with WDSU is also open to other students regardless of their curricula. WDSU broadcasts daily on Comcast Local TV Channel 15 from 8 a.m. until 2 am. The closed circuit station provides entertainment and news for more than 1500 cable subscribers on campus. The station also serves as a promotional outlet for other student and non-profit organizations.WDSU uses its prominence on campus to inform and enlighten the student body, as well as to contribute in our charitable work, in order to create a warmer community. The station is comprised of many departments and sections, all which play an integral part to the success of WDSU Radio.WDSU always looks for opportunities to be involved in the outside community. Some of the things that we have done in the past include; Tsunami disaster relief water drive, Hurricane Katrina clothes drive, and our annual Jessica Watson memorial fund against senseless acts of violence. WDSU is not only a source for community news and the pulse of the student body, it is a valuable practical learning tool.WDSU is owned by Delaware State University. WDSU Radio is a student organization funded by the Student Government Association with the ability to generate a percentage of its own revenue through advertising and fund-raising.
