About Me
I was born in Port Orchard, WA, and lived there for 14 years. I moved to Hermiston, OR in 1992, then near Boise, ID in 1998. I finally got to move back home to Seattle in 2000, and I have been here ever since. I had a perfect childhood - loving parents and lots of support. I went to christian school until we moved to Oregon, then a public high school. I graduated in 1995. My mom lives in West Seattle. My dad lives in Illinois. I have three half brothers, in WA, CA, and IN, and a half sister in CA. I have a Border Collie named Jack (who is staying with a friend) and an awesome cat named Knuckles, who has his own MySpace page. If you asked my friends, I guess they would probably say that my most dominant characteristic is my tendency to be easily amused (or distracted). I laugh easily. I am fascinated by so many things in life - depending on my mood, it can be philosophy, biology, technology, sex, food, music, movies, animals, travel, love, friendship, language.... anything! I can't stand ignorance, either my own, or other people's. I am a grammar and spelling fanatic. I hate having to say, "I don't know" (though I will if it's true) and if someone asks me a question, and I can't answer it, I have to go find out. I ask a lot of questions, too. I will go out of my way to try something I've never tried (especially food), or see something I've never seen. I'm horrible with money. I love buying things for other people, especially if it's something they really want or can't find. I hate shopping for myself. I care next to nothing about clothes and jewelry. I don't wear make-up. I can be very moody at times. I am very hard to offend, but very easy to hurt, if I care about you and your opinion. Loyalty is my most valued trait. I will be loyal to someone forever, if they are loyal to me. My friends and relationships are everything to me, above all else. I consider myself an agnostic, though my beliefs are not clearly defined. I do believe organized religion has caused more problems in this world than almost anything else. I am very open-minded. I detest censorship of any kind. I believe you should have the freedom to do or say anything that makes you happy, as long as it doesn't interfere with another person's ability to do the same. I am very opposed to pushing your beliefs or opinions on someone else, or judging them negatively for theirs. I don't believe marriage is necessary for a strong relationship. I don't want children. I don't want to be kept alive by machines. I want to be cremated when I die. I want a wake, not a funeral. I am liberal, pro-choice, and pro-euthanasia.
