Vance 'Vance LaRoy' Ashworthis a professional trained actor, singer, and dancer. That started out Singing in local talent show cases either at school or city wide events in his home town of Kansas City MO. He then moved on to be a finalist for the radio station Z95.7 the vibes Kansas City idol; that led him to open up for national recording artist such as Jagged Edge and Public Announcement.
Other notable artist he’s worked with includes Tech N9ne, Scatterman and Snug Brim, kutt Calhoun, Rappin Twan and Reach. He recorded a song titled “Come Away with Me” that was picked up for a national compilation album that spot lights unsigned underground artist it exposed his sound to the United States and abroad at an immeasurable rate. He was also featured on the MTV hit show Making the Band season 2.
While being a spokes model for the organization Youth-Serve he traveled to Oklahoma and sang at the annual Azusa conference thousands of Christians gather every year to worship and fellowship as one.
He’s performed at the Historic Gem Theater on 18th and Vine for a number of productions. He’s also played Orin the dentist in the Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors, which is one of his Favorite projects. He has traveled across the country singing the lord’s word and many good things have come out of it he’s had the honor of being a featured vocalist for the Rejoice Choir at the sprawling Wanamaker woods church of the Nazarene a church that’s known for their lavish productions, he was also a featured artist for the Brooklyn Tabernacle choir in their production of Light of the World a Christmas musical he’s had the honor of singing at the black Nazarene conferences in Atlanta Georgia, Orlando Florida, and Dallas Texas, and he’s a member of the Nazarene district worship team which ministers in Olathe, Kansas.
He’s currently spreading the word of the lord in song with the gospel music group Rhema and tours with the gospel stage play The Choice is yours. Vance Ashworth is an epic vocalist/actor/dancer that’s known for his good looks and personal style he has been in the business since the age of thirteen he found his love for music by playing the clarinet, trombone and piano.
He’s currently working on his first solo album that’s slated for release in the spring of 2009 titled “Come Away with Me”
