ITS NOT BECAUSE OF YOU,YOU LIVING!CHRIST DID IT! “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest out of the womb I sanctified thee, and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations” Jerimiah 1:5Minister Terrance Richmond answered his calling to preach in April of 2007. With this honor and responsibility his life has been forever changed. Minister Richmond was born and raised in East Oakland, Ca. He was blessed to be raised in a family that had reverence for God and lived that everyday. St. John Missionary Baptist Church was the home away from home for his family under the Pastoral Leadership of Dr. CJ Anderson, this is the church that he and his family still attend today. He is a young man of many talents and worldly experiences. After high school he was drafted and had the opportunity to play minor league baseball, Division 1 Basketball and professional basketball overseas. Minister Richmond also attended the Fire Academy in Sonoma County and graduated with an EMT/Firefighting certification. Through all of this he maintained a relationship with the youth and homeless population in all the communities that he lived in, whether he was a volunteer or working at a group home. In 2003 he co-founded a nonprofit organization called Path to Purpose. With the help of over 50 youth and adult volunteers the organization fed hundreds of people from the homeless community monthly and had dances to get the youth off the streets bi-monthly. Shortly after the vision of Path to Purpose, he discovered a love for music and began to perform as a secular hip hop artist. He was very successful and opened for some of the industry’s biggest names such as The Roots, KRS 1, Keak Da Sneak, Planet Asia, Junior “One Blood” Reid, Ozomatli and George Clinton to name a few. Minister Richmond is an anointed and spiritual leader and preacher. His humble nature and hunger for God’s word has made him a tool for God at an early age. He is currently going to school full time at Capital Bible College in Sacramento California and is flourishing in the diverse educational setting. He has been challenged by God to step up and educate himself so that he may impart that knowledge on others now and in the future. Minister Richmond has a boldness for Christ and feels a powerful connection to those members of society that seem to be left behind. He has been given a great vision for ministry and an energy, passion and determination to be a true servant of the Lord. Minister Richmond is a family man as well. He was married in 2004 and was blessed with the birth of his beautiful daughter in June of 2005, and his handsome son in June of 2007. Youth and Families are Minister Richmond’s passion and feels that this generation of youth is at high risk because of the power that they hold for God’s kingdom building. Together with God and his family he prays every day to be used by God to help people in need, spread a word and impact hearts for Christ. Thank You!!!
