Private Jackson

About Me

They play songs of protest, escape, betrayal, confusion and longing, political sloganeering, social comment and introspection. Their lyrics feature (amongst others) Billie Piper, Hemingway, Leon Trotsky, H.G. Wells, Mikhail Bakunin, Steve McQueen, Napoleon Bonaparte and Chuck Yeager. They've played T-Break and supported the likes of Yeti and Fuck Off Machete. People have compared them (rightly or wrongly) to Television, the Clash, New Order, Ikara Colt, Gang of Four, Sonic Youth, The Stooges, Manic Street Preachers, Joy Division, The Velvet Underground, Buzzcocks and Pavement fronted by 70's Bowie.
